Position Description
Accolade is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented lawyer to join its team. The role will report to the General Counsel and will involve a combination of legal and compliance support. Key responsibilities will include: Monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments affecting the Firm and its funds; Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures; Conducting compliance training for staff and promoting a culture of compliance within the Firm; Preparing and managing compliance reporting, including regulatory filings and disclosures; Reviewing and approving fund marketing materials and investor reports; Managing vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and similar contracts; Coordinating legal matters with fund subscribers including subscription agreements, side letters, and transfers.
Qualifications
- A juris doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission in good standing to a state bar
- 1-4 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably with a focus on investment management, private equity, and/or venture capital
- A strong understanding of SEC regulations and compliance frameworks applicable to investment advisers
- Ability to take on wide-ranging responsibilities
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
